The students need to have a caring host while away from their own home. It is very important for me to make feel as part of my family. My name is Tetchie. I am originally from Japan and moved to San Francisco 16 years ago. I started to host students. I find it very educational and fun to know the different cultures and interests of the students. Former students come again, new students extend their stay. I have hosted students coming from Japan, South Korea, Chile, Argentina, Madrid, Italy, Thailand and Russia. Currently, My students interact well with each other and are very happy. The bedrooms are all private with a mini fridge, closet, dimmable lights, equipped with high speed Wi-Fi. My place is very cozy and chic. There is a tea area roofed with flexy glass if students wish to study privately or even choose to study in the well-tailored garden adjacent to rooms. Please see the pictures that I have provided but, if you want some other photos, let me know. I live alone, no pets. I only have 1 daughter who is a nurse. She lives in a distant city, which makes me pay her a limited visit. I like to dine outside and invite students to join me and also invite them to different social functions if their private time permits. I also like to travel. Japan and Hawaii are my favorite places to go for a short week's break. My home is half block away to the nearest bus stop, 10 minutes by bus to the Bart station which leads to SF downtown. There are various grocery stores, restaurants, banks, pharmacy that can be reached within a minutes' walk. Neighbors are friendly and welcoming.
